Project: Design and build custom ironwork including fireplaces, fireplace doors, lighting, railing, and iron sculpture for a luxury spa/resort
Client: The Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, WY
Products: Custom fireplaces, fireplace doors, lighting, railing, sculpture
The Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, WY is a luxury spa/resort in a landscape distinguished by sweeping vistas of the nearby towering Tetons, and is surrounded by alpine forests, and wooded aspen groves. Teeming with these spectacular views, an abundance of wildlife, and plenty of outdoor recreation, the resort is a perfect example of design that marries outdoor splendor and rustic styling with luxury accommodation.
After seeing some of Ironhaus’ GM and lead designer, Tim Campbells work on display in a showroom in Jackson Hole, the onsite project manager approached Tim and asked if he’d be able to do some of the custom ironwork for the resort.
Keith and his team sat down with Tim, gave him drawings of what they were looking for in terms of a look and the feeling they wanted to convey to their guests. “The concept was rustic, organic, curved lines and angles, really bringing the natural landscape into the resort,” says Tim.
Inspired by the aspen groves so prevalent to that landscape, Tim used this as a motif in the design. This aspen leaf motif was carried throughout, in the railing that ran throughout the public living spaces in the resort, as well as the doors, and the main entrance where Tim made full sized iron aspen sculptures to create an aspen grove as guests enter the resort.
In addition to the decorative railing, and doors throughout the hotel’s public living spaces, Ironhaus designed and built all the fireplaces in the public living spaces, the fireplace doors in the condos, as well as outdoor lighting for the front entrance to the resort.
The result created a cohesive look and feeling to the ironwork throughout, bringing in the organic elements of the natural landscape, and making the guests feel as if they were not only experiencing the outdoors, but completely immersed in it as well.
