Friday Favorites: We’re off to Vegas
Can’t believe it’s Friday…
We’ve had a busy week here at Ironhaus, putting the finishing touches on our booth redesign, getting prototypes of our new range hoods, wrought iron lighting, and iron surrounds ready to show builders, architects, designers, and homeowners next week at the IBS/KBIS show. Our large, heavy shipping container is on its way to the show right now and should be there bright and early Monday morning for us to unpack and get setup.
In case you missed it, here is the booth:
This year the International Builders Show and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show are co-locating to form the first Design & Construction Week. It’s going to be huge with more than 1,500 exhibitors, and close to 75,000 building professionals who are expected to attend the show throughout the week.
Here’s what I’ll be doing in Las Vegas…
Aside from taking in the warm weather, eating some good food, and maybe catching a show, I will be getting some work done at the IBS/KBIS show next week.
I’ll be meeting with various folks, and members of the press to talk about our new products. I’m attending workshops that will teach me some tips and tricks for better communicating with our customers, and I’ll be working the booth and visiting with customers, and of course blogging daily about our adventures at the show, show highlights, and passing along some goods tips, tricks, and news to you!
As I’m a newcomer to the metalworking, home design, and home products market I’ll be getting to know better the manufacturers and product offerings that are out there. This a big show and there’s a lot to see!
One of the workshops high my hosted by Houzz. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Houzz, it’s fantastic and I’m completely addicted. We’ve really just started utilizing Houzz to showcase our products, and I expect when I get back from Vegas I’ll have many more ideas for improving our Houzz site for customers. It’s going to be a fun before-and-after project, and I hope you’ll be pleased with the results. To see the before (and it’s really not a bad before!) check out Ironhaus’s Houzz page. And stay tuned in the coming weeks as I ramp up our efforts on Houzz.
A Few Places to Visit
I’m not planning to spend any time in the casinos as I’m much more interested in the food offerings, and the shopping!
Joel Robouchon at the MGM Grand is high on my list. I can’t resist French food, especially when prepared by a master like Robouchon.
And then there is Nobu, at Caesars Palace for the toro tuna topped with Ossetra caviar and gold flakes. Yum!
And you will very likely spot me shopping at the Bellagio Shops.
It’s going to be a great week in Vegas and I’m looking forward to meeting some of our customers and partners in the building industry and to taking in all that Vegas has to offer.
