Mission 1 Style
The Mission I Style was inspired by the Mission Revival movement in architecture and the decorative arts made popular in the early part of the 19th century and influenced by the Spanish missions established in the California region nearly a century earlier. The Mission style is closely related to the Arts & Crafts Movement and is typified by the designs of Gustav Stickley who used exacting lines and precise proportions. The Mission I Style reflects this design aesthetic. With it’s simple, yet defined lines, and elegant, but laid-back feeling the Mission I Style defines one aspect of the classic American style.
