Rough-hewn wood beams, weathered wood, reclaimed or original pieces that evoke the history of the American West typify the Rustic Style. Illustrated with a color palate or rich, earthy tones, and complex textures reminiscent of the nature of the rugged outdoors, the design trend is to combine this look with touches of the modern like wrought iron, and metallic accents that evoke the contemporary, with a nod to the old-world way of making things.
